The Diocese of Saint Petersburg Policy for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults<\/strong> requires Safe Environment Program (SEP) Training for all adults who wish to have unsupervised access to and or the care, responsibility, and or supervision of children, youth, and vulnerable adults. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All employees are required to take this child safety\/vulnerable adult training as a condition of employment regardless of said access.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEP training is also required for all other adults who wish to have unsupervised access to and or the care, responsibility and supervision of children, youth, and vulnerable adults.  \u201cAll other adults\u201d includes contractors, vendors, consultants, licensees, Memo of Understanding personnel, state\/federal service providers, and others who wish to have access to children, youth, and vulnerable adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Diocese of Saint Petersburg Policy for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults<\/strong> requires that in addition to a FBI\/FDLE (AFRNP) Level 2 background check, all adults who may have unsupervised access to or the care, responsibility, or supervision of children, youth, or vulnerable adults must complete SEP certification every 5 years. This certification process, done through VIRTUS, and previously CMG Connect, is the only training that the Diocese of Saint Petersburg currently accepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
